The Directorate General Drug Control & Pharmacy Services, Health Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, maintains a zero-tolerance policy against Spurious drugs to ensure the safety and efficacy of therapeutic goods across the province.

When routine market surveillance and forensic analysis by the Drug Testing Laboratory (DTL), Peshawar, confirm a therapeutic good to be Spurious / Counterfeit, rapid regulatory measures are enacted immediately to eliminate the threat to public health.
